Barclays Bank, Northern Trust Bank, TCS and Maersk were some of her previous assignments wherein she has led diverse teams. Currently she is working as Director – Human Resources with AstraZeneca India Pvt. Ltd, where she heads to the Human Resources Function for the Global Technology Center in Chennai and Bangalore.
Amarpreet has been leading and actively participating to drive the Diversity and Inclusion Agenda through various forums and channels within her previous assignments. Dr. Anurita Majumdar
Executive Director Medical, Pfizer Essential Health
Dr. Anurita Majumdar is a physician specialized in Oncology with about 20 years’ experience in leading clinical development, medical and regulatory affairs in the pharmaceutical and CRO industry. She started her career in 1997 as the senior Registrar and Clinical research fellow in Oncology at the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center. She moved to the pharmaceutical industry in 2001 and since then has led a variety of teams in clinical development, medical and regulatory affairs in both Indian and MNC firms. Her industry career took off with Dabur Research Foundation in 2001 where she led the early phase clinical development team in Oncology for NCEs and new drug delivery systems for over 4 years. In 2006 Dr. Majumdar joined Eli Lilly and Company where she was associated for over 9 years starting as a Medical lead in Oncology for India and then moved on to the role of Regional Medical Lead Oncology for Emerging markets and later as Medical and Regulatory Director for South Asia. She also had a brief stint as Medical Director for South Africa as a regional secondment. Dr. Majumdar joined Pfizer as Senior Medical Director for the Essential Health business unit, India in July 2015. In her role she leads the country medical team and provides strategic partnership to the country commercial team in the Essential Health business unit across diverse business lines such as primary care, critical care and specialty care. She is a member of the Pfizer India leadership team as well as the APAC Medical Leadership Team for the Essential health business unit. In Nov 2016 she was appointed to the Board of Pfizer India as an additional Director. Since June 2017 she is handling an additional responsibility as regional effectiveness lead for APAC to lead strategies in medical affairs efficiency. Dr. Majumdar has completed her MD in Radiation Oncology from the J.K. Cancer Institute, Kanpur in 1997 and Senior Residency (Radiation Oncology) from the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital and has several research publications to her credit. Dr. Anurita Majumdar is also certified in GCP and clinical research from the Vienna School of clinical research.

Aparna Parinam is Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs at Teva Pharmaceuticals and has been associated with it for more than a decade. With over 20 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs and Research and Development, she started her career at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. She holds two post-graduation degrees: in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance from Goa College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, USA.

Cecilia M. Azavedo has more than 18 years of experience and has worked in HR roles across industries such as healthcare, logistics, chemicals, financial services, consulting and advertising. Cecilia is currently Head of Human Resources, Janssen India, Johnson & Johnson. Her previous assignments have been as Head HR Maersk Line, South Asia and prior to that, Head HR for the pharma business of Merck India.

Ms. Jamila Joseph is Senior Vice President at Reliance Life Sciences. She has more than 20 years of experience in drug development, beginning with 5 years at Quintiles. Currently, she heads innovative technologies including gene therapy at Reliance Life Sciences in Mumbai. She also oversees clinical research at Reliance and is responsible for ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations. She is Chairperson of the Indian Forum of the Research Quality Association (RQA), a member of the DIA, Medicine Working Group of the London Manifesto for Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion Council of Reliance, and a scientific reviewer for Elsevier and Bentham groups of journals. Ms. Joseph graduated in Microbiology and Biochemistry, has done an executive MBA, and holds two post-graduation degrees: in Biochemistry and Philosophy from Mumbai University. She taught Biochemistry at Mumbai University before moving to the pharma industry 20 years ago. She is an alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad.

Dr. Kamala Rai works for Novartis as a Global Pharma Leader and am currently responsible for Global programs in Established Medicines for Pain, Neuroscience and Ophthalmology. Her association with Novartis spans over 10 years and she has assumed positions of increasing responsibilities as Head-Clinical Development, Regional Director, India, Middle-east and Africa, Medical Director and most recently as Chief Scientific Officer for Southern African Group of Countries and Cuba. In the recent past, Dr. Rai has worked for global pharma companies such as Merck and Co., as Research Director. At Novartis, Dr. Kamala Rai has received the prestigious Global HR Board Award for Diversity and Inclusion initiatives in India and also AMAC Productivity Award for increasing the research footprint by bringing more clinical research work in India.
Dr. Monisha Sharma

Dr. Monisha Sharma is currently Therapeutic Area Head, Global Clinical Trial operations for South East Asia cluster (India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines).
She is currently responsible for overseeing a team across the South East Asia and overseeing end-to-end clinical research activities in the cluster.
Monisha has over 19 years’ experience in academia and pharmaceuticals. With the first 8 years in Academia and the remaining in increasing roles and responsibilities in late-phase clinical operations. Her key interests are in strategic/change management initiatives, building and leading high-performance teams, and lean clinical trial operating models. She is passionate about gender equality at work and increased uptake of roles in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) by women. She is a steering committee member of the Merck Women’s Network, India.
Prior to joining MSD India, Monisha worked as a Senior Resident, Department of Pharmacology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. By training, Dr Monisha has an MSc. in Pharmacology and a Ph.D in Neuropharmacology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India.
She is also certified in Project Management PMP (PMI) and a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma processes and has several publications in International and National peer-reviewed journals to her credit.

Dr. Rashmi Hegde is currently Vice President Medical at Cipla Ltd. Dr Hegde is a Paediatrician by training and has vast experience with the Medical departments of both Domestic and International Pharmaceuticals companies. She has been associated for over 2 decades with several global pharmaceutical companies such as Abbott, Solvay, Wockhardt, Piramal, Novartis. Dr Hegde has led Medical Affairs, Medico-Marketing, Medical Strategy, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance and Medical Scientific Liaison for both Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies. Her most recent position prior to the current one has been Medical Director at Abbott India Ltd. Dr. Hegde was recently awarded the Woman SuperAchiever Award by the 4th World Women Leadership Congress & Awards. Ms. Savitha Shivsankar leads Human Resources at Novartis in India since July 2016 and is a member of the Country and Pharma Executive Committees. Ms. Shivsankar has a rich multi-sectoral experience spanning over close to two decades and has played an important role in shaping the HR landscape in the country. Savitha began her career with business conglomerate ITC, and went on to work in the consumer goods space with leading companies - Marico, Diageo and most recently Mondelez.
